Wallace Workshop

This frame is 24x32 made from Eastern White pine. It sat a year between cutting and being put up so the timbers greyed out giving it a more antique look. The center post is off-set to give us a bigger work isle where the door opens. Insulation is provide by SIPs on the walls and several layers of foam on the roof. We opted for this method for speed of construction and cost considerations. So far we have found that it stays quite cool in the summer and holds some daytime heat in the winter. The overall design of this frame is fairly basic and could be modified slightly for a wide range of buildings.
